the total number of DVD's would be 3V, so we have:
(V X 3) + (3V X 5)=2,160
3V + 15V=2,160
18V=2,160
V=2,160/18
V=120 total videos rented
3 X 120=360, total DVD's rented, so that we have:
(120 X$3) + (3 X120) X $5=$2,160
$360 + $1,800=$2,160 in total rentals.
