 7(2-m)-11=-4        add 11 to both sides

7(2 - m)   = 7         divide both sides by 7

2 - m =   1              add m to both sides and subtract 1 from both sides

1 = m

Check

7(2 - 1) - 11  = -4

7(1) - 11 = -4

7 - 11  = -4

- 4 = -4   .....which is true

if solving for m..

first try to get the () alone, and everything else to the other side.

add 11 to each side

7(2-m)=15

then divide by 7

(2-m)=15/7

subtract 2

-m=15/7-14/7

-m=1/7

then multiply each side by -1 to get m to be positive

m=-1/7

:) hope that helped
