line f:    y = -3x + 8

Line g is perpendicular to line f..so the slope of line g is the negative reciprocal of line f.

slope of line g = 1/3

Line g passes through (-1 , 2) and has a slope of 1/3.

So the equation of line g is:

(y - 2) = (1/3)(x - - 1)

y - 2 = (1/3)(x + 1)

y - 2 = (1/3)x + 1/3

y = (1/3)x + 7/3
