cancelling out the a3 factor from both the numerator and denominator still leaves a factor of a2 in the numerator:
= ( a2 · b2 ) / ( b3 )
cancelling out the b2 factor from both the numerator and denominator still leaves a factor of b in the denominator:
= a2 / b
where x = 2 and y = 1 ...
so x - y = ???
