Three times the lesser of two consecutive even integers is six less than six times the greater number.

3(2x) + 6   = 6(2x + 2)   simplify

6x + 6 = 12x + 12      rearrange as

6 - 12  = 12x - 6x

-6  = 6x

x = -1

So the smaller even integer is (2(-1))  = -2

And the larger is (2(-1) + 2)  = 0

[ Yes, negatve integers can be even or odd, too.....!!!]
