   of the number of possible points that are common to both the circle and the triangle?     

 

   I don't see "the following" . . . I'm guessing it might have been     

   a picture that didn't post.     

 

   Draw a circle.  Then draw a triangle with its center inside the     

   circle, and each vertex protruding through the circumference     

   of the circle.  This makes six intersection points.  I can't think     

   of a way to increase that number of points common to both.     

   .
