It means to break a number into its prime factors. For example, if I say what are the prime factors of=15,015= 3 X 5 X 7 X11 X13. These 5 numbers are prime factors of 15,015. Because these 5 factors are not divisible by any other number, except by themselves and by 1. so 3/3=1 and 3/1=3......and so on.
