Hello, I really dont like to ask for help but unfortunately, I am stuck on this problem. I struggle in math on word problems. So if you could help me that would be great. Thanks

Amy is eight years older than twice her cousin Alicia’s age. The sum of their ages is less than 32.

Let x represent Alicia's age.

Which inequality represents Alicia’s possible age?

Let Alicia's age = A

Amy's age =2A + 8, so we have:

A + [2A + 8] < 32

3A + 8 < 32    subtract 8 from both sides

3A < 32 - 8

3A < 24           divide both sides by 3

A < 24 / 3

A < 8   Alicia is less than 8 years old.
