I was hoping someone would be able to jog my memory on how to compute this system of equations.
In this equation we're finding tc.
Please note: tf was found to be 2.9

EDIT: tc was found to be 4.8
If tc/tf =max(3.3-1.1*0.104-0.34*4.5, 1.1) then tc/tf = max( 1.6556, 1.1), since 3.3-1.1*0.104-0.34*4.5 = 1.6556; so tc/tf = 1.6556
Multiply both sides by tf: tc = 1.6556*tf or tc = 1.6556*2.9 or tc = 4.8012 or tc ≈ 4.8
