√x=-2    this isn't possible.....to see why.....square both sides

x = 4      but, √4 = 2    not  -2

Thus, we can't get a "negative" result from a "positive" radical.......

I am surprised that there are no imaginary solutions for this.  

WolframAlpha sys that there are none.

GIVEN: √x=-2 ; what are the solutions for x? (HINT: you can graph it!!!)
