If Chad has 14 stickers and half of those are silver. Sarah has 29 more stickers but 5 fewer silver stickers than Chad. If Sarah got 18 more stickers and 40% of those were silver, how many total stickers would she have if she bought them till she had the exact same number of silver stickers as Chad?

(Hint. but not necessarily as many total stickers.

Chad has total 14 stickers and half of these

are silver.

So, number of silver stickers which Chad has

= 14 ÷ 2 = 7

Now, Sarah has 29 more stickers.

Total number of stickers Sarah has

=(14+29)=43

Number of silver stickers Sarah has

=(7−5)=2

To get same number of silver stickers as

Chad, Sarah needs 5 more silver stickers.
Now, let x be the number of stickers Sarah

would bought. Then,

 40x/100 = 5

⇒ 2x = 25

⇒ x = 12.5

⇒ x ≈ 13

Then, total number of stickers

=43+13

=56

the required answer is 56.
