If 6 carpenters take 6 days to build 6 houses, at the same rate, how many days will it take 2 carpenters to build 2 houses? My teacher told me the answer is not 2.

Two houses will take 2 houses x 6 carp day/ house = 12 carp day
with 2 carpenters this will take
12 card day / 2 carp = 6 days
