one full glass contains vinegar and water in the ratio of 1:3. another glass of twice the capacity of the first has vinegar and water in the ratio 1:4. if the contents of both glasses were mixed together what is the ratio of vineger to water?

If V is the volume of glass 1, then the volume of water in total is V*(2/3+3/4) and the volume of vinegar is v*(1/3+1/4)

The final ratio is (1/3+1/4):(2/3+3/4). You can add it on your own.
