In a triangle ,the measure of the first angle is three times the measure of the second angle.The measure of the third angle is 70 more than the measure of the second angle. Use the fact that the sum of the measures of three angles of a triangle is 180 to find the measure of each angle.
Let the first angle = x, the second angle = 3x and the third angle = 3x + 70.....so we have
x + 3x + 3x + 70 = 180 simplify on the left
7x + 70 = 180 subtract 70 from both sides
7x = 110 divide by 7 on both sides
x = 110/7 = about 15.7° for the first angle
3x = about 47.1° for the second
3x + 70 = about 117.1° for the third
