K/M = 2/5     so  K = 2M/5

 

M = K + 105   so  M = 2M/5 + 105   or 3M/5 = 105  so M = 175

 

This means K = 175 - 105 = 70

 

Hence L = 385 - 175 - 70  or L = 140

 

As a percentage of 385, Laura gets 100L/385 = 100*140/385 → 36.36%

Let Kim's share =K, then:

Molly's share =K+105, But,

 

K=0.4[K+105], solve for K

K =70 pounds - Kim's share

70+105 =175 Molly's share

385 - [70+175] =140 pounds - Laura's share.

140/385 =36.36% percentage that Laura gets.
