3 years on a spaceship travelling @ .99c would be equivalent to 21.27 years passed on Earth.

The answer told em that 0.427 years passed on earth. If you go on this website and look into number 7 the answe is 0.427, I too got 24 but the tect say its 0.427 years which doesn'T make sense.

No, that is NOT right!!. Remember, as the spaceship travels closer and closer to the speed of light, time and ALL clocks on the ship SLOW DOWN. So that, at the speed of light TIME comes to a standstill. At .99c the ratio of time between Earth and spaceship is 7.09:1

Remember something called the "twin paradox?", which says that if you had a twin and one tavelled on spaceship @.999999c, for every 1 year on the spaceship, 707.11 years would have passed on Earth, and the twin that stayed on Earth would have been dead a long time ago.
