y = mx + b

 

We want to get the y by itself on one side of the equation.

0 = 18x + 6y – 2

 

First let's subtract 6y from both sides.

-6y = 18x – 2

 

Next let's divide both sides by -6.

y = (18 / -6)x - (2 / -6)

y = -3x + 1/3

 

...The last instructions are kind of confusing to me, but I think that is the answer you're after. :)
