Rhombus ABCD has perimeter 148, and one of its diagonals has length 28. what is the area of ABCD?

Each side of the rhombus is   148 / 4 = 37

 

The diagonals of a rhombus intersect at right angles

  the other diagonal could be found via pythag theorem

      28/2 = 14

                               37^2 = 14^2 + x^2

                          x = 34.249             

 

area = 4  *   1/2 * 14 * 34.249 = 958.97  units2
