To find the angle x and y on a right angled triangle. One of the sides is 12 km and the other 5km (neither hypotenuse), what are both the angles?
Tan of one angle is 5/12 = 22.61 degrees
the other angle will be 180 - 90 - 22.61 = 67.38 degrees
As a check: the OTHER angle has a Tan of 12/5 = 67.38 degrees Check!
