x^2-5x+5 = -4x+7   rearramge as

x^2 - x - 2  =  0        factor as

(x - 2) ( x +1) =  0

The roots   are  2 and  -1

Absolute  value difference  of these  roots =  abs ( 2 - - 1)  = abs (3)  =  3
