The selling price of an item is $520. After 6 months of not selling, it is marked down by 1010%. After another 6 months of not selling, it is further marked down by 30%. Find the sale price after both markdowns.(Round to the nearest dollar as needed.)
you made a typo in there somewhere..... if you mark an item down 100 % it is zero....free! SO you cannot mark it down 1010% !!!
I THINK he meant 10 % also......or 11% ...or 10.1%......who knows? get them to ask it again!
Yup......I think I'm the only guest on here tonight.....I've answered a LOT of Q's

Yep, I think you be the only guest 2. What grade are you in, I am in awe of your smarts...
I'm waaay past grades! I was an Electrical Engineer in undergraduate school....worked for a while, then went to Medical School years ago.....so now I'm a M.D.....but I do miss all of the math of engineering!
Ohhh, no wonder u seemed smart...
My fault for assuming most peeps on here are teens...
\($520\times10.1=$5252\)
\($520-$5252=$-4732\)
\($-4732\times0.3=$-1419.60\)
\($-4732-$1419.60=$-6151.60\)
The sale price after both markdown is \($-6151.60\).
I'm not sure....I think a lot of the q'ers are teens....I think a lot of the answerers are teachers or graduate-type folks, There IS some MATH_PROWESS amonsth the moderators ....Cphill, Melody etc
I'm still a little rusty.....it has been many years since calculus diffyQ advanced applied math engineering economics etc !!!...but this forum is getting the 'gears' going ....slowly
Lemme correct your statement.
A lot of the answers are teens!
