sales tax??????

If the sales tax is 2% and the item you are buying is 10 dollars, then you find the total by doing the following:

 

10.00 * 1.02 =

 

0.02 is 2% sales tax.

 

10.00 is ten dollars.

 

and 1.00 is the starting price without sales tax.
