it is estimated that the carnival will last four hours and that the chosen game will run on average five times each minute of the carnival. if it cost $1 to play the game and each prize costs the school $3, how much money can the school expect to make from this game? show your method for calculating and your workings.

I'm not sure that I understand the question correctly, but will give it a go!.

4 hours X 60 minutes=240 minutes

240 minutes X 5 =1,200 number of time the game is played.

1,200 X $1=$1,200 gross revenues from the game.

240 minutes X $3 prize=$720 paid out by school in prizes.

$1,200 - $720 =$480 expected net revenue to the school.
