H= 1    x 3 = 3         NH3 = 17 gm /mole

 

1.2 x 10^3/17 = 70.59 moles

Since the molar mass of NH3 =17.031 g/mol, then:

[1.2 x 10^3] / 17.031 =70.46... moles of NH3.

Just depends on how many digits you want to go:

Atomic weight of

N=14.0067

H= 1.00794     x 3 = 3.02382         NH3 = 17.03052  gm /mole

 

1.2 x 10^3/17.03052   =   70.46173575 moles

 

The original weight had only TWO significant digits, so I used 2 significant digits in the atomic weights....LOLsmiley
