If we were to write all the sequence of natural numbers thus:
12345678910111213141516......etc., what would be the 1,000,000th digit? And how far up the number line would that go? Thanks for any help.

From 1 to 9 =9
From 10 to 99 =2 x 90 =180
from 100 to 999 =3 x 900 =2,700
from 1000 to 9999 =9,000 x 4 =36,000
from 10,000 to 99,999 =90,000 x 5 =450,000
from 100,000 to 149,999 =50,000 x 6 =300,000
1,000,000 - 788,889 =211,111 / 6 =35,185
From 150,000 to 185, 184 =35,185 x 6 =211,110
So: 9 + 180 + 2,700 + 36,000 + 450,000 + 300,000 + 211,110 =999,999 up to and including 185,184.
Therefore, the 1,000,000th digit is 1 from the beginning of 185,185.
