81 * 35 =............

Check your arithmetic.  That would be the 9th term.

YW, but your methodology was correct versus mine.  I think I made a mistake when I "rewrote" the sequence.  I think I converted it to an exponential sequence rather than a geometric sequence.  I'm not sure of that, though.

Let's write that same sequence as 31, 32, 33, 34, ...  

so the eighth term would be 38 which is 6561

.
