[(-4x^2)^2]/[(8y^6)^1/3] =

 

( [-4]^2 * [ x^2]^2) /  ( 8^(1/3) * [y^6]^(1/3) ] =

 

[16 x^4 ] / [2 y ^2 ]  =

 

[8 x^4] / [ y^2]
