Simplify.
−2i√−12
Which expression is equal to 2√−28√ ?
4i√7
−4i√7
4√7i
−4√7
1. Simplify −2i√−12
\(-12=-1\times3\times4\)
We can move out the negative one and 4 from the square root. The square root of \(-1\) is \(i\)and the square root of \(4\)is \(2\)
We get -2i*i*2√3. We simplify that and get 4√3
2. Which expression is equal to 2√−28?
4i√7
−4i√7
4√7i
−4√7
Again, we do what we did last time.
-28=-1*4*7
We can move out the -1 and the 4 to get 2*i*2√7
We simplify this and get 4i√7
(note: I got tired using LaTeX)
