Sin Cos and Tan

   For the equation (55)(Sin30°) = X how would you solve for X?     

   You have to know the value of sin(30^o).  I just happen to know what it is,     

   but it’s easy to look it up in the trig tables or on your scientific calculator.     

   x  =  55 • sin(30^o)     

   x  =  55 • 0.5000     

   x  =  25.5
