sin36=7/x how do you solve ?

Thank you anon2 for answering and question asker anon for giving feed back on the answer.

Lets take a look.

 

sin36=7x

multiply both sides by x

 

x×sin36=x×7xx×sin36=x×7xx×sin36=7

 

divide both sides by sin36    

 

x×sin36=7x×sin36sin36=7sin36x=7sin36

 

Now when you put this into the web2 calc you have to put the 36 in brackets I think

7/sin(36)=

 

7sin360(36)=11.9091113169381451

 

so 11.9 degrees is the correct answer.

What do you think the answer should be?  Maybe we can clear up the misunderstanding?

sin36=7/x
isolate x: x= 7/sin36   just input it into the calculator, like this 7÷sin36 .. thats it

i got 11.9 which is wrong
