what is the difference between sine and cosine

The difference between sine and cosine is that sine- sin(θ) = Opposite / Hypotenuse amd cosine- cos(θ) = Adjacent / Hypotenuse of a triangle. 

 

Soh...

Sine = Opposite / Hypotenuse

...cah...

Cosine = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

...toa

Tangent = Opposite / Adjacent

 

And there's Tangent just in case you didn't know^^
