In an austrailian city the time of sunrise can be found using the trigonomic function T=4.6sin(pi/182(d-6))+5 where T is the number of hours after midnight and d is the number of days into the year.

Find algebraically to the nearest minute when the sun will rise on the 27th day of the year.

Find how many days in the year that the sunrise is after 8am.

T=4.6sin(pi/182(d-6))+5

T = 4.6 sin(π/182 (26 - 6)) + 5

T = 4.6 sin(0.34523 radians) + 5

T = 4.6 x 0.3384131 + 5

T = 1.556700 + 5

T = 6.5567 hours AM.
