Let the points  be   (x1, y1)   and (x2, y2)........the slope, m, is given by :

[y2 - y1 ] / [x2 - x1]  = m

Example      (6,5)   and (7, 10 ) =

[ 10 - 5] / [7 - 6]  =   5/1  =  5   =  m

Note.....the order of the points doesn't matter    (7, 10) and (6,5)  =

[5 - 10] / [ 6 - 7]   =  -5/-1   =  5   = m    .......    the same result !!!!!!
