So, n = k/y. Given k is 1 kg m^1 and y is 1 kg m^−1 what is n?

Thanks in advance

The most important thing is the unit of n. Simply compute by law of indices:

\(n = \dfrac ky = \dfrac{1\text{ kg m}^{1}}{1\text{ kg m}^{-1}} = 1\,\text{m}^2\)
