6t2 = 3    Divide both sides by 6

t2 = (1/2)      Take the square root of both sides

t = ±√(1/2)    (If you want to "rationalize" the denominator, we get  ±[√(2)] / 2 .

Remember we have to take both roots when applying the square root property in solving equations !!
