Solve the inequality 29/289z<16/161z. (There is a way to solve this problem without doing a lot of messy computations!) Enter your answer as an inequality with just z on the left side. For example, if the inequality in the problem were true for all positive z, then you'd enter "z>0" (without the quotation marks). If it were true for all z less than or equal to 3, then you'd enter "z<=3".

Let's look at this one again.....

 

29/289z<16/161z      subtract 16/161z from each side

29/289z - 16/161z  < 0   factor

[ 29/289 - 16/16] z < 0   divide both sides by [ 29/289 - 16/16]

1z < 0    or, just  ....  z < 0
