6 (x/2 + 4) ≥ 9 

 

 First divide both sides by 6

6(x/2+4)/6 ≥ 9/6

x/2 + 4 ≥ 3/2

 

Subtract 4 on both sides 

x/2 + 4 - 4 ≥ 3/2 - 4

x/2 ≥ -5/2

 

Multiply 2 on both sides

2x/2 ≥  2(-5/2)

x ≥ -5
