This question does't make much sense but i will play with it...  Waht are those | and < for ??

Solve the system by the method of substitution.

  |  y= x^3 − x^2  +2

  |

<

  |

  | y= x^3 + 15x + 2

If y = both those, then

\(\begin{align} x^3-x^2+2&=x^3+15x+2\\ -x^2&=15x\\ 0&=x^2+15x\\ 0&=x(x+15)\\ x=0 \quad &or \quad x=-15 \end{align}\)

I have obviously not interpreted the question the way that was intended.
