200x=16-y     multiply through by  -1   =  -200x = -16 + y    (2)

Add (1)  to (2)   and we get

300x  = 9         divide both sides by 300

x  = 9 / 300  =  3 / 100

And using (1)  to find y, we have

500 (3 / 100)  = 25 - y

15  = 25  - y        add y to both sides ,  subtract  15 from both sides

y  = 25  - 15   = 10
