Solve using square roots

 

2x2 +6 = 14

x2=4

x = \(\pm2\)

 

 

 

 

(x-1)2 +3 = 12

(x-1)2 = 9

x-1 = \(\pm3\)

either x = 4 or x= -2

 

 

Solve using any method

y = x2-3x+4

x2-4x-5 = 0

(x-5)(x+1) = 0
