x^2 + 9x = -20 

 

I was able to get 

 

x^2 + 9x + 20 = 0 

 

a= 1 b=9 c=20

Yes on a,b,c if you are going to use the quadratic formula....or you may be ble to 'see' that it factors in to:

(x+5)(x+4) = 0     then x = -5 or -4
