1) To solve this equation the first thing you must do is Distribute the parathesis on the right which gives you:

-8x-8  -3x+6 = (x+2)-10x

2) Next, Combine like variables and constants on both sides which gives you:

-8x-3x  -8+6 = x-10x  +2

-11x  -2 = -9x  +2

3)Then Get X to one side which results in:

-11x  +9x -2 =  -9x +9x  +2

-2x  -2 +2  = 2 +2

-2x = 4

4) And finally Divide both side by X's coefficent to get a final answer of:

-2x /-2  = 4 /-2

x = -2
