7(x3 + 3x -1) = 17x + 7(x3 + 11)

7x3 + 21x - 7 = 17x + 7x3 + 77

Subtract 7x3 from both sides

21x - 7 = 17x + 77

Subtract 17x from both sides

4x - 7 = 77

Add 7 to both sides

4x = 84

Divide both sides by 4

x = 21
