The ratio of the heights of two similar right cylinders is 3:4. Find the ratio of their surface areas and the ratio of their volumes.
I'm assuming that by "similar" you mean that the radiuses are in the same ratio, as well...3:4
So....the ratio of the volumes is just (3/4)^3 = [pi *3^3 *3] [pi * 4^2 *4] = 27/64
And the ratio of the surface areas = 2 pi [ (3)^2 + 3* 3] /2 pi [(4)^2 +4*4] =
[18 ] / [ 32] = 9/16
