Sorry the full question didn't post. if I'm traveling at 20,000,000 mph and there is 3600 seconds in an hour. the 20 million divided by the 3600 is 555,5555555555555556. I take it thats 555.5 miles per second?

Yes, it is miles per second.  Also it is  $$5555\frac{5}{9}$$  which is 5555.6 (to nearest tenth) rather than 555.5.
