if it takes car 3 minutes to travel 2.3 kilometers at 60 kilometers per hour, how long will the same distance take at 50 kilometers per hour?

If the car is traveling 60 km.hr 2.3 km should only take 2.3 minutes.......what gives?

If we use your numbers the time required will be 60/50 x 3 = 3.6 minutes

Because we are going (5/6) as fast, it will take (6/5) as long

So.... 3(6/5) = 18/5 = 3 + 3/5 min = 3 min 36 sec
