The percent error is given by....

l Approximate Value - Exact Value l / l Exact Value l  x 100%

So we have

l  175 - 97.50 l / l 97.50 l  x 100%  =

77.50 / 97.50  x 100%  =

7$ because 9 plus 10 equals 21 and then i multiplied that by three and by the time i was done i got 7 dollars and 23 cents
