Can you please answer me this simple question?

-sqrt(5/9=

a) -sqrt(5/3

b) -5/3

If it is the first, can you please explain me why the square root still remains.

Thank you

- sqrt(5/9)   =  -  sqrt 5  /  sqrt 9   =  -  ( sqrt 5) /  3

Be aware of where and how you use brackets.....they change the value of the answer if misplaced !

It is the first answer. The reason is because Sqrt(a/b)  = Sqrt(a) / Sqrt(b)

So  - sqrt(5/9)   = - Sqrt(5)/Sqrt(9) =  - sqrt(5) /3
