Force is mass*acceleration  (force is in Newtons, N, when mass is in kg and acceleration is in m/s2), so 

$${\mathtt{force}} = {\mathtt{896.5}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{2.5}} \Rightarrow {\mathtt{force}} = {\mathtt{2\,241.25}}$$ Newtons
