Find an expression for S which is the sum of the areas enclosed by the area of a circle and the area of a square, in terms of r.
A square does not have a radius !
Question makes no sense
If I am visualizing this correctly, then both the circle and the square will have the same radius. If that is the case, then:
Sum= pi (r)^2 + (2r)^2
pi(r)^2 would be the area of the circle.
(2r) would be the side of the square.
